Qld: Sea search continues for missing Perth men

Forensic police are examining a catamaran found abandoned off the Queensland coast.

The yacht was towed to shore overnight .. as the search continued for the three missing
Perth sailors.

Police say the men .. aged 56 .. 63 and 69 .. are believed to have left Airlie Beach
aboard the boat on Sunday heading for Western Australia.

However the 12-metre catamaran .. KAZ II .. was spotted with a broken sail .. floating
near the outer Great Barrier Reef on Wednesday.

Crew who boarded the boat yesterday discovered the motor and computers running .. and
food on the table .. but no sign of the three men.

Police say they could be floating in a dinghy .. and foul play is not suspected.







Two helicopters .. two volunteer marine rescue vessels and water police are searching today.
